Palace Bingo & Sport Bets Cancun: bingo, sportsbook and a poker room downtown

The fact block

In Google's English interface the place is labelled simply Palace, which is why searches for «palace casino cancun» and «palace bingo» land on the same listing. The full name on the sign is Palace Bingo & Sport Bets Casino Cancún.

The door rules, in the venue's own words

Every other room in the state leaves this to rumour. Palace prints it on its Cancun page: you must show an original, valid official identification with signature and photograph issued by a federal, state or municipal authority, plus the customer's player card — and «para el caso de extranjeros pasaporte expedido en su país de origen», a passport issued in your country of origin.

Two things follow, and both matter more than they look. First, this is the only document requirement anywhere in Cancun that comes from the venue rather than from a reviewer — at Jubilee nothing at all is published. Second, a US or Canadian driver's licence is not on the list. We have found no confirmation that licences are refused in practice, so treat it as what it is: the venue names one option for foreigners, and that option is a passport.

The same operator's terms add that betting in Mexico is for over-18s, and set out the personal data collected with the ID: name, date of birth, nationality, address, occupation, phone and email. Entry itself is free.

Bingo, poker and the sportsbook

Called bingo is in the name and is the reason many locals come. Poker is the room's second signature: it draws more mentions here than at any Cancun venue, and the poker room operates inside this same building — Google files no separate business at the address, so the Palace Poker Room is a zone, not a second casino. The brand runs its own poker site for the physical tables, with live cash-table status, a waiting list, a tournament calendar and pre-registration; it is a tool for the room, not an online casino.

On the floor: slot machines including video poker, blackjack — one reviewer was taught the game there — and the sports betting area the name promises. In April 2025 the machine supplier Zitro announced it had installed its CONCEPT cabinets here, with the titles Legendary Sword, Triple Charm Journey, Fairyland Quest and Merging Fu Pots. The release does not say how many machines, so neither do we; no room in Cancun publishes a machine count.

There is a smoking area, and the flip side shows up in reviews: the fittings look dated and the smell of tobacco carries. Live entertainment is listed among the venue's Google attributes.

Food, and the complaint you should plan around

There is a restaurant, but the venue never names it. Reviewers describe a seafood buffet, chicken tenders as the house speciality, and a weekend pozole promotion that fills the dining room. The problem is speed: four separate reviews complain about service times, the sharpest reading «almost 50 minutes and not even a glass of water». If you are coming for dinner before bingo, allow for it.

A welcome bonus turns up twice in English review themes, but no card or programme is named anywhere, so there is nothing here we can describe. Compare that with Macao, where reviewers state flatly that there are no courtesies for visitors at all.

Where it is, and what is next door

The room sits on Avenida Tulum about a kilometre north of Jubilee, in the densest hotel and restaurant cluster downtown. Distances are straight-line from Google coordinates; on foot add 20 to 40 per cent.

One local detail worth having: the best-rated currency exchanges in the city are a short walk from here — Money Exchange San Jorge at 557 m (0.35 mi) and 652 m (0.4 mi), rated 4.2 and 4.4, against 2.3 to 3.5 for the closer competitors. Change money before you go in. Betting operations are in pesos by law, and this room publishes no exchange desk of its own.

Getting here from the Hotel Zone is the same trip as to any downtown room: the R-1 bus down Avenida Tulum for about 12 pesos until roughly 10:30 p.m., then a taxi with no meter, quoted by zone before you get in. The closing time here is 3 a.m., so the ride back is worth settling before the first bingo card. The wider transport picture is on the Cancun overview.

The one brand in Cancun with no online casino

This is unusual enough to state plainly. The other Cancun operators pair their rooms with a licensed website; Palace does not. Its permit-holding company has three authorised addresses on the federal register, and the only one that answers is an online lottery — the other two would not load for us at all. There is no Palace online casino, and any page claiming to be one is not this operator.

Which leaves the same asymmetry as everywhere else in the city, only sharper here: on this floor there is no demo mode, no credit and no way to see a game pay before you load a card. Sites licensed by the same regulator — held by other groups, including one with four rooms of its own in the state — do open games in free mode. Different companies, same authority, and it is worth knowing which is which.
