Dubai Palace Casino Cancun: what it was and what operates there now

The proof is one line from the operator

This is not our inference from a listing. It is written on the corporate timeline of Logrand Entertainment Group, the Monterrey company that owns the room. Under 2024 there is one sentence, and it is the whole answer:

Fifteen years earlier the same document records the opening: «Iniciamos operaciones con New York Casino en Monterrey, Nuevo León; y Dubai Palace en Cancún, Q. R.», filed under 2009. Two sentences from one text close the case.

There is a second, independent notice almost nobody has seen: the casino announced it on Instagram — «Dubai Palace Casino se renueva como Jubilee Casino Cancún». That post was, as far as we can trace, the only place on the internet where it was stated before this page, and it sits around the thirtieth result.

What it was, and exactly where it stood

It was Logrand's Cancun room from 2009. The group opened two venues that year, one in Monterrey and this one, and for fifteen years Dubai Palace was the most-reviewed gaming room in the state.

The address has never changed: Av. Tulum, Supermanzana 8, Manzana 1, Lote 2, Centro, 77500. Four sources that do not copy each other agree on it — the venue's Google listing, an old casino-directory page filed under «Dubai Palace Casino», a video ad made by the casino itself, and the footer of the current Jubilee site.

If that address looks strange, it is the logic of the city: Cancun is organised not by streets but by numbered supermanzanas, each holding blocks and lots. Number 8 sits on Avenida Tulum, downtown.

Why the group changed the name

It was not a sale and not a change of owner. Jubilee has been Logrand's flagship brand since 2008, with its largest room in Monterrey, and in May 2024 the group opened Jubilee Grand Casino in Mexico City. Four months later it brought the Cancun venue under the same name — a consolidation, not a transaction.

The exact day is not published. The operator writes «in the month of September» and nobody else is more precise, so you will not read an invented date here.

What each source says about the same building

Put another way: there is no real contradiction — a well-documented rebrand and a dozen pages that never noticed. The one source that departs from the script, the Supermanzana 4 blog, made a typing error, not an alternative version.

What is at that address today

• 671 machines and 22 live tables with dealers: blackjack, roulette, baccarat, craps and Texas Hold'em among others.
• Open 24 hours, seven days. The only room in Cancun with a confirmed round-the-clock schedule; tables open in the afternoon.
• A High Limits area, a sports bar, a restaurant and The One Rewards loyalty scheme.
• Sports bets taken at a counter terminal or on the group's own platform.
• SEGOB permit number 4117, published by the operator on its own site.
• Listing rating: 4.2 out of 5 from 3,592 reviews, the most-reviewed venue in Quintana Roo.

Why English-language guides keep the name alive

Because they never stopped repeating it. Travel pages still describe Dubai Palace as «Cancun's largest casino, covering over 100,000 square feet… over 450 slot machines» — figures with no traceable source, which do not square with the 671 machines the operator publishes today. We do not reproduce them as fact.

The stranger part is Google itself. In United States results the map block still labels the listing «Dubai Palace», carrying the 4.2 rating and the roughly 3,600 reviews that belong to Jubilee. A visitor arriving with that in their notes will be looking for a sign that no longer exists.

That is roughly 660 searches a month across the two countries, sustained by a brand that stopped existing two years ago. It is a decent measure of how long the internet takes to notice a change of sign.

Three things we do not know and will not invent

• The exact opening date in 2009. Directories offer «June 2010», «2010» and «1 January 2011», contradicting each other and the operator. The only sourced date is the year.
• The exact day of the rebrand. The operator says «in the month of September» 2024, and nobody else narrows it.
• How many machines Dubai Palace had. The «100,000 square feet and 450 machines» claim has no verifiable source and does not fit today's 671. The historical number is not published.

Getting there if you saved the old address

1. The address still works — Avenida Tulum, Supermanzana 8, Manzana 1, Lote 2, Centro. If you noted it on a previous trip, do not change it — the building is the same even if the map hands it back under another name.
2. From the Hotel Zone — The R-1 city bus runs the length of Kukulcán Boulevard and on along Avenida Tulum, around 12 pesos, paid in coins on boarding. It stops about 10:30 p.m., which catches people leaving a room that never closes; taxis have no meters, so agree the price in pesos first.
3. What to bring — Photo ID and pesos. The minimum age is 18, not 21, and bets are placed in national currency — see dollars or pesos.

Do not confuse it with the Palace up the road

One last name trap, and it is local. About a kilometre further along Avenida Tulum stands Palace Bingo & Sport Bets — another venue, another group, with bingo and a sportsbook. It shares the word «Palace» and nothing else, and neither room has any connection to the Palace Resorts hotel chain.
