Searching the word «casino» over the island returns four places — hotels and a restaurant — and asking for every business filed under the casino category within 15 kilometres returns nine, of which all nine are in Cancun, across the water. That mix — Caribbean island, hotels, people off a boat — is why somebody types «casino isla mujeres» every month. It is about 20 searches a month, with no advertiser behind any of them.

Below it come travel aggregators, a Yelp list titled «Top 10 Best Casinos Near Isla Mujeres» — where «near» does all the work — and the Facebook page of a Cancun shopping mall. None answers directly. The answer is no.
The nearest room: a ferry and about fifteen minutes
- Cross to Puerto Juárez — The crossing takes around 30 minutes. The Ultramar terminal at Puerto Juárez is on Avenida José López Portillo at calle 49, and its Google listing shows activity from 5.30 a.m. to midnight — that is the listing's activity window, not the sailing timetable.
- From the dock into downtown Cancun — Palace Bingo is 4.05 km from the pier in a straight line and Jubilee 4.89 km. By car that is on the order of fifteen minutes depending on traffic on the avenue — a figure implied by the distance, not one we timed.
- If you prefer the bus — Some R-1 buses run as far as Puerto Juárez: check the windscreen. The R-10 is the more direct route between the Ultramar dock and the boulevard, though that comes from a single source. The city fare is around 10 pesos, cash, with coins.
- Work out the return before you sit down — The step people skip. The terminal listing shows activity until midnight; Palace Bingo closes at 3 a.m. and Jubilee never closes. Leave the tables at one in the morning and your night ends in Cancun, not on the island.

If you cross back to the Hotel Zone instead
Puerto Juárez is not the only dock: boats also run to the island from Playa Tortugas, Playa Caracol and El Embarcadero, all three on Kukulcán Boulevard. Come back that way and the room on your route is not the downtown pair but Casino Macao, in the La Isla mall at kilometre 12.5 — the only casino along the whole 26-kilometre boulevard, open until 4 a.m.
The mainland half of the municipality is also at zero
Isla Mujeres is not only the island: the municipality has territory on the mainland north of Cancun, and that is where Playa Mujeres sits, the strip of newer resorts. It was built out over the last few years and not one gaming room was licensed in it.
Of roughly two hundred hotels along the corridor, only two have a casino inside and neither is here: Red Casino at the Grand Oasis, whose status the sources disagree about, and Casino del Mar at the Royalton in Puerto Morelos, charged separately from the all-inclusive rate. No hotel on Isla Mujeres has a room of its own — the detail is in why almost no resort in Cancun has a casino.
